Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has said that Manchester City’s B team have a greater chance of winning the Premier League title than the Red Devils.
Mourinho, who is without a job after being sacked by United in December and is working as a pundit for U.K. T.V. station Sky Sports, said he believes that the depth of City boss Pep Guardiola’s squad is so strong that their B team are more likely to win the title than their Manchester rivals.

When asked who he thinks could win title this season, Mourinho said: “Four teams. Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City’s B team. When I looked at City’s bench and saw the players that weren’t involved in the XI, I believe even their B team can win the title.”
City got their bid for a third consecutive Premier League title off to a winning start with a 5-0 victory over West Ham on Saturday, with stars Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva and new signing Joao Cancelo named on the bench for the game.
In contrast to City’s squad depth, Ryan Giggs said on Friday that he felt United are short in midfield following the close of the transfer market in England.
United signed Leicester’s Harry Maguire for a world record fee for a defender, as well as Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
However, they failed to add another midfielder, despite Ander Herrera having joined PSG on a free transfer, and Marouane Fellaini who left in January. Striker Romelu Lukaku also left Old Trafford on Thursday, joining Inter Milan for €80 million.
