TOP STORY: Aubameyang ready to replace Lukaku at Man United?
Golden Boot winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was one of Arsenal’s best players last season, so it’s only natural that he’s being linked with a move away this summer.
The 30-year-old striker has attracted the attention of Manchester United, who are looking for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku despite rejecting a loan bid from Inter Milan, but Tuttosport claim that Aubameyang is actually interested in becoming the next Robin van Persie (swapping Emirates for Old Trafford) in a deal worth £70m.
Arsenal spent £54m to sign him from Borussia Dortmund just 18 months ago, so they would net a profit, while they reportedly need the cash to boost their paltry £45m budget for the summer window.
That could go a long way into reinvesting in their squad, but the message of selling a top star to a direct rival is something Arsenal fans hoped they had seen the back of.
Meanwhile, offloading Mesut Ozil and his £350,000-a-week wages would also help, but the Daily Mail claim that nobody wants him.

22.21 BST: We’re going to wrap up Friday’s live edition of Transfer Talk with some news regarding Manchester United. Sport reports that the Red Devils have again turned their attentions to Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic, whose future at the Camp Nou is in doubt upon the arrival of Frenkie de Jong, although sources tell ESPN FC that Old Trafford may not be the Croatia international’s preferred destination should he leave Catalonia.
21.40 BST: Arsenal are preparing to bid for Wilfried Zaha, according to Sky Sports. The report states that the 26-year-old would prefer to remain in London but also play European football, which ticks a pair of boxes for the Gunners. However, with Palace on the verge of losing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, the South London club would be loathe to lose another of their star assets. As such, they’ve set the asking price at an eye-watering £80m.

20.18 BST: Barcelona have opened negotiations with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of Antoine Griezmann, according to Sport. The report states that Barcelona plan to pay €126m — €6m more than the Frenchman’s €120m buyout clause — in hopes of structuring the deal in installments, matching the payments Atleti will be making to Benfica for the likely arrival of Joao Felix, rather than paying the entirety of the fee up front. That arrangement will leave more money for Barca to work with as they continue to work to bring Neymar back to the club from Paris Saint-Germain.
19.37 BST: Having been unsuccessful in getting Inter or Juventus to bite on taking Mesut Ozil off their hands, Arsenal are now offering the 30-year-old to Fenerbahce, Istanbul Basaksehir and Galatasaray on the condition that the Gunners pay a portion of his £350,000-a-week wages for the next two years, Calciomercato writes.
18.56 BST: Paris Saint-Germain will announce the signings of Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia next week once the new financial year is underway, sources have told ESPN FC.
18.15 BST: Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol reports that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has passed his Manchester United, completed his paperwork and signed a five-year deal (with an option for a sixth) that will pay him more than £80,000 a week.

17.34 BST: In the next 24 hours, Inter will submit a bid to Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku, Sky Sports reports. Sky writes that the offer will be a two-year loan, with a £9m fee paid up front, with an obligation to purchase the Belgium international at a fee of £54m at the end of his loan. Probably not a coincidence, the Italian club’s financial fair play settlement agreement expire on June 30.
16.53 BST: Real Madrid have backed out of the race to get Neymar out of Paris, according to Goal, because — among several other reasons — Los Blancos want to maintain their relationship with Paris Saint-Germain in hopes of standing a better chance of signing Kylian Mbappe in the future.
16.12 BST: Real Madrid or Juventus will have to pay £150m cash if they want to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, says the Mirror.
Pogba is reportedly desperate to return to Juventus, but would also welcome a move to Real under Zinedine Zidane. Either way he wants out of United and sources have told ESPN he’s ready to force an exit even though the club don’t want to sell him.
15.44 BST: Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is set to return to the Bundesliga for another loan with Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt battling Hertha Berlin, where he spent last season, for the player’s signature, a source told ESPN FC.
Grujic, 23, impressed at Hertha during his loan in the 2018-2019 season. Despite several minor injury setbacks, he made 23 competitive appearances for the capital club, scoring five goals and setting up another one.
Last season, former Hertha boss Pal Dardai called Grujic the club’s best midfielder in at least 20 years. Liverpool expect the deal to be done before July 6.
15.00 BST: Manchester United are set to step up their attempts to overhaul their midfield following the imminent signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes and Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff among their top targets, sources have told ESPN FC.
With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signing Daniel James earlier this summer and closing in on a £50m deal for Wan-Bissaka, attention will now turn to United’s midfield with Ander Herrera, who is leaving on a free transfer, expected to be unveiled as a Paris Saint-Germain player next week.
14.55 BST: Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the signing of Switzerland international Breel Embolo from Schalke.
Embolo, 22, has signed a four-year contract and the striker said: ”I’ve only heard positives about Gladbach from my teammates in the national team. I’m delighted to have the chance to play for the club.”
14.19 BST: Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with AC Milan over the signing of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in a deal which would see Alphonse Areola go the other way, sources have told ESPN FC.
The Serie A outfit would prefer a transfer fee upwards of €50m. Agent Mino Raiola is heavily involved in the deal as he represents both goalkeepers.
PSG have also announced a long-term contract extension with kit manufacturer Nike, which is now one of European football’s most lucrative at an annual figure in excess of €80m, a source has said.
The French champions are tied to the American brand until 2032 and will more than triple their previous deal. It now puts PSG ahead of Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
13.56 BST: Wolves continue to do some impressive work in the transfer market and will have high hopes for defender Raphael Nya, who they have signed from Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year deal.
The former PSG under-19 captain will go into the Wolves U23s but will have chances to break into the first-team.
13.40 BST: Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou hasn’t been happy with the fact that the club are bringing back Mats Hummels and wants to leave, according to Bild.
Zagadou, 20, has impressed at the U20 World Cup and is being tracked by Arsenal. A bid of around €30m is reportedly enough to land him.
13.12 BST: Manchester United need a defensive boost and, with Harry Maguire costing £80m, could move for Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti, say Mundo Deportivo.
The 25-year-old has struggled with injury but would be a cheaper option if they can persuade Barcelona to sell. Not easy, however, considering that Matthijs de Ligt is set to snub a move to Spain for Juventus or PSG.
12.30 BST: Bayern Munich have not made another bid for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, sources have told ESPN FC.
The England international, 18, who is nearing a return from an Achilles injury is focused on making a strong start with Chelsea this season. Having barely featured under former boss Maurizio Sarri, Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to become a regular under the Italian’s replacement, which is likely to be Frank Lampard.
Bayern, meanwhile, appear to have turned their attention to Leroy Sane (see 10:22 below).
12.06 BST: Stuttgart want PSG’s Tanguy Coulibaly, according to Bild.
The 18-year-old forward hasn’t got much chance of usurping Kylian Mbappe or Neymar, so is considering his future and a spell in the Bundesliga could prove beneficial. Evidently his contract ends this summer and therefore Stuttgart are eyeing a bargain.
11.47 BST: Eurosport claim that AC Milan have rejected PSG’s opening offer of €50m for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, which took Alphonse Areola by surprise as he was included in the offer.
France international Areola only recently signed a new deal and probably expected to be higher in the pecking order now Gianluigi Buffon has departed. However, it seems PSG have other plans.
11.19 BST: Barcelona are not contemplating selling Ousmane Dembele, according to Mundo Deportivo. Dembele, 22, arrived from Borussia Dortmund two years ago for an initial €105m but has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou in recent weeks due to the Catalan club’s interest in Antoine Griezmann and Neymar.
Bayern Munich and a number of Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in the France forward, but Barca are said to have told his agent he’s not for sale. If any club wants to sign him this summer, they will have to pay his release clause: €400 million.
11.02 BST: Denis Suarez has reached an agreement over personal terms with Celta Vigo, according to Cadena Ser, but the Galician club still need to strike a deal with Barcelona. The Spanish champions are said to be demanding an initial €16m for the midfielder, with up to €4m more in potential add-ons.
Denis, who endured a frustrating loan spell with Arsenal last season, has revealed he will leave Barca this summer. Valencia and Celta are the two clubs most interested in signing him. The former Spain U21 international has said he would like to stay in Spain, preferably with a team competition in Europe. However, a return to his hometown of Vigo is also tempting.
10.22 BST: Bayern Munich have already spent over €120m bolstering their defence this summer, but now they want to turn to replacing Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery on the wings. Sky Sports report that Manchester City and Germany forward Leroy Sane, 23, is still top of their transfer wishlist — though only a bid of €100m would persuade City to sell.
City aren’t exactly short of money but could raise some funds for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri, who sources have told ESPN is set to move for £63m next week.
09.57 BST: Monaco forward Keita Balde, 24, is attracting interest from Arsenal, probably based on the story above about Aubameyang leaving for Man United, say Le10 Sport.
Inter Milan have reportedly opted against signing the Senegal international after an unsuccessful loan spell with them last season, so the Gunners have a free path and could do a deal for around £25m.
09.34 BST: Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis loves to chat about transfers and he had some good news for PSG when he told Sport Mediaset: “If a good offer arrives, which would allow us to find a replacement, Allan‘s departure can be considered. On the other hand, if it happens towards the end of the transfer window, it will not be possible.”
Less good news for anyone keen on signing Kalidou Koulibaly, though, as he added: “The big teams have big defences and that is what we aspire to. We want to pair Koulibaly with perhaps Kostas Manolas.”

08.52 BST: James Rodriguez‘s father, Wilson, believes Napoli would be the best club for his son to join this summer.
The Colombia winger returned to Real Madrid this summer after two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich. However, his stay at Madrid will be short-lived with the Spanish club expected to loan or sell the player.
Napoli are hoping to acquire James, who is competing at the Copa America, but the player said earlier this week he didn’t know where he will play next and that Madrid still had to make that decision.
“I think a new chance is what his career needs right now, ” Wilson James Rodriguez told Calcio Napoli24: “(Colombia’s David) Ospina is at Napoli, I think that’s very important. Napoli is the best option for him.”
James would reunite with former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli and his father said this would be a good thing: “Between them there is a lot of respect. He (Ancelotti) has always been very happy with his performance.”
08.34 BST: Cadena Cope report that Neymar‘s mother and sister are in Barcelona searching for a house for next season amid speculation that the Brazilian will return to his former club.
Neymar reportedly wants to part with Paris Saint-Germain two years after leaving Barcelona for the French capital for a world-record €222m. According to the Spanish radio station, Neymar’s desire would be to return to the same house in the city he lived in for four years before his departure to PSG.
08.00 BST: Liverpool have sealed a £5m deal rising to £7m for the sale of Rafael Camacho to Sporting Lisbon.
The 19-year-old turned down the opportunity to sign a new contract with the European champions after agreeing to one in January on the provison of being loaned out, which never transpired. He nows returns to the Portuguese club where he kickstarted his career having rebuffed approaches from Wolves, Schalke and AC Milan due to concerns over game time.
Sporting were unsuccessful with their loan offer during the winter window, but Liverpool now left with only two options: negotiate a permanent transfer with the club or lose Camacho for a £270,000 compensation fee in 12 months’ time when his current terms expire.
The add-ons in the transaction will be activated on account of the Primeira Liga’s side domestic and continental successes.
Liverpool have also inserted a 20 percent sell-on clause and a buy-back option into the agreement. The former stipulation is of particular interest given Sporting’s track record in holding out for maximum fees.

Manchester clubs clash for Elmkies
Manchester City and Manchester United are set to go head to head once again, this time in a fight to secure the signature of Hoffenheim midfielder Ilay Elmkies, the Sun reports.
The 19-year-old has been dubbed “the next Thiago Alcantara,” who has previous experience working under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich.
With one year left on his contract and an estimated value of just £2.5m, it’s not hard to see why clubs further down the football pyramid might be keeping an eye on Elmkies too, with West Ham also said to be showing interest.
Spurs told to improve offer for Ndombele
Tottenham Hotspur have been asked to submit an improved bid for Tanguy Ndombele after Lyon rejected the initial offer, RMC Sport reports.
Spurs opened with a bid of €45 million for the highly rated 22-year-old, a fee deemed far too low by the Ligue 1 side, who have asked for a figure closer to €70m.
Ndombele has been linked with the North London club for some time, but murmurs that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were also interested forced Mauricio Pochettino to personally convince the midfielder to join Tottenham.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said: “Tottenham made us an opening offer worth €45m. Then, we discussed more. Nothing is done, I can assure you. We are not in a hurry either. How much is he worth? I do not know, but not just €45m.”
Ceballos hopes for Madrid return
Dani Ceballos hasn’t even left Real Madrid yet, but he’s already pining for his future at the Bernabeu.
Marca reports that Zinedine Zidane has no interest in keeping the 22-year-old midfielder this season, and the Madrid board are catering to their manager’s wishes this summer. Ceballos accepts that he will need to leave the Spanish capital in the short term but is hopeful any move away is on loan or contains a buy-back clause.
The report suggests that Inter, AC Milan, Napoli, Arsenal and Sevilla are all interested, and that Real Betis are among that group, hopeful of a homecoming for the player who spent six years at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Madrid reportedly would be willing to part with the Spain international for a sum of €50m.
Rabiot’s agent insists PSG offer not rejected
Adrien Rabiot has not rejected an offer to stay at Paris Saint-Germain but will be leaving the club anyway, his agent has reiterated, according to RTL.
Juventus had reportedly agreed a deal to sign the midfielder, before PSG initiated a last-ditch effort to keep him in the French capital.
Commenting on the confusion, Rabiot’s agent and mother Veronique Rabiot said: “I read absolutely everything: that Adrien had an appointment with [PSG sporting director] Leonardo that he did not honour, or that I received an offer to extend his contract from Leonardo that I refused to raise the auction. This is absolutely wrong. There is not the slightest discussion between Leonardo and I.”

– Unable to make any signings of their own this summer, it’s no surprise that Chelsea have rejected a bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich, as reported by the Mirror. Instead, the Blues are hopeful of securing him to a new five-year contract.
– Arsenal midfielder Krystian Bielik has made no secret of his desire to leave Unai Emery’s side, with the Sun reporting that the prospect of first-team football elsewhere has convinced the 21-year-old of his decision. The report states that clubs from England, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium have all registered interest, and the Gunners already have received offers for the Poland U21 international.
