“The treatment of this injury will be articulated around a functional rehabilitation. The return of the Paris Saint-Germain striker should take place within four weeks.”

Neymar withdrew from Brazil’s Copa America squad on Thursday after injuring the ankle near the start of a 2-0 friendly win over Qatar the night before.

Neymar is also facing a rape allegation from a woman who says she was assaulted in a Paris hotel on May 15. He denies any wrongdoing.

Brazil manager Tite on Friday called up Chelsea winger Willian to take Neymar’s place in his team.

The tournament, which Brazil will host, begins next week.
