Raf Honigstein says Max Allegri would be considered for the Bayern Munich job if Niko Kovac is let go, but says support for him would be mixed.
ESPN FC’s Gab Marcotti reacts to the news that Massimiliano Allegri will leave Serie A champions Juventus at the end of the season.

Massimiliano Allegri has said he is waiting for the right offer and could take a year off if it doesn’t arrive, after his five years at Juventus came to an end at the weekend.

Marcotti: The reasons behind Juve and Allegri’s split

Allegri bowed out as Juve coach with a 2-0 defeat at Sampdoria, a result which did not alter the fact the Bianconeri have won the Scudetto in each of his five years at the club.

His future is unclear, but he told Sky Sport Italia that he is not scared of sitting back and taking a rest, rather than being rushed into something he is not convinced by.

“I’ve been coaching for 16 years in a row so I’m not afraid of a break,” he said.

“It’s right to pull the plug and after the [charity] game tomorrow, I’ll dedicate myself to my private life. If the right, stimulating offer arrives, then I’ll take it.”

Allegri added that “it still hasn’t sunk in” that he will not be on the Juve bench next season.

“I’ll start to get a bit of distance from it starting tomorrow, then I’ll organise my holidays, relax and we’ll see,” the 51-year-old added.
