Kylian Mbappe has been banned for three games by the French Football Federation (FFF) after his sending off in the Coupe de France final defeat to Rennes on April 27.

Mbappe, 20, was dismissed shortly before the end of extra time for a high challenge on Damien Da Silva as PSG went on to lose on penalties.

The ban means he will miss three of PSG’s remaining four Ligue 1 games, against Nice on Saturday, Angers and Dijon.

Meanwhile, FFF disciplinary proceedings against PSG’s Neymar are ongoing after the Brazil international was involved in an altercation with a supporter after the loss to Rennes.

An FFF statement said. “Meeting on Thursday, May 2, the Federal Commission of Discipline sanctioned Kylian Mbappe with a three-game suspension and opened proceedings against Neymar following the final of the Coupe de France.”

The confrontation happened when, as PSG squad went to receive their runners-up medals, Neymar pushed the supporter’s hand away as he tried to record him on his mobile phone.

He then appeared to jab at the fan before walking away to collect his medal.
