Eze has impressed at Palace, attracting significant interest in the process, and United will most likely face competition from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur for the England international’s signature.

PAPER GOSSIP

Juventus remain open to approaches for midfielder Arthur Melo, according to Fabrizio Romano. Several clubs in Turkey have been linked with a move for the Brazil international, though it is reported that his current salary at Juventus makes it difficult for those interested clubs to strike a deal.

– Manchester United are set to hold talks with midfielder Adrien Rabiot regarding a potential deal, according to the Daily Star. Rabiot is currently a free agent after seeing his contract with Juventus expire at the end of last season, however, the Frenchman is yet to secure a new club. Rabiot has been linked strongly with moves to the Saudi Pro League, alongside a switch to Galatasaray, however, the report suggests that the midfielder has rejected both of these opportunities, which leaves the door ajar for United.

Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyökeres is unlikely to secure a move in January, despite Premier League interest, reveals Football Insider. It is reported that Arsenal and Chelsea both hold an interest in the striker, however, Gyokeres is unlikely to depart the Portuguese outfit, with the 26-year-old settled at the club. Alongside this, the Sweden international’s £84m release clause could prove too steep for several of the interested clubs.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, but the Bees will not facilitate a departure in January, suggests Football Insider. The 25-year-old has attracted significant attention from top clubs, and whilst it is expected that interest will be present in January, Brentford will not entertain approaches. The report reveals that Brentford are keen to send a “clear signal” that they are unwilling to allow Mbeumo to leave during the January window.

Internazionale are continuing to monitor Lille forward Jonathan David, reports Calciomercato. The Canadian sees his contract with Lille expire next summer, which has alerted the attention of several clubs in Europe.
