Wrexham have confirmed that striker Steven Fletcher has signed a contract extension and will remain at the club for the 2024-25 season.

Fletcher was a key member of the Wrexham side that secured promotion to League One last season, scoring eight goals in 34 appearances.

“I’m delighted to have signed another year, and I’m really looking forward to the season ahead,” Fletcher said in a statement on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old, who joined Wrexham as a free agent last September, has had spells in the Premier League with Burnley, Wolves and Sunderland.

“We’re pleased Steven has re-signed, ” Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said.

“He played a key role on and off the pitch last season and we look forward to working with him again in our League One campaign.”
