The son of the late Jose Antonio Reyes, Jose Antonio Reyes Lopez, scored four goals to help Real Madrid win the final of the La Liga Promises international tournament.

Real Madrid’s under 13s came back from 2-0 down to beat Sevilla 5-3 in Abu Dhabi on Sunday in a game that featured two of Jose Antonio Reyes’ former clubs.

The 12-year-old striker has shone in the La Liga Promises competition, which features Spain’s best young players, scoring nine goals in total to win the golden boot and being named player of the tournament.

Jose Antonio Reyes died aged 35 in a car crash outside his home town of Utrera in Andalusia on June 1.

At the time of his death an agreement was already in place for his eldest son, Jose Antonio Reyes Lopez, to join Real Madrid’s academy from Leganes.

A tribute was paid to the former Sevilla, Arsenal and Real Madrid winger before Sunday’s final, as Jose Reyes was presented with a Sevilla shirt bearing his father’s No. 10.
